Knee replacement surgery went great! Recovery went very well, partly because Dr Fuchs is an amazing surgeon and partly because I followed his detailed post-op instructions and did my physical therapy faithfully. Physical therapy really is the key to a successful recovery! I appreciate Dr Fuchs and his team...they are so skilled and so compassionate! I am looking forward to getting the same surgery performed on my other knee in the very near future.

Dr. Fuchs has been FANTASTIC!! I waited a while to write this review because I wanted to get through the various stages of recovery. After 62 years of skiing like a crazy man and countless skiing yard sale events - it was time for a total knee replacement on my left knee. Knowing that there are two philosophies for knee surgeons (quit skiing, ski carefully) I looked for a solid doctor with skiing in his resume. Other considerations included the use of robotic-assisted surgery to increase the accuracy of the repair, and overall credentials. Data and reviews for Dr. Fuchs were outstanding, so I booked my first appointment. I found Dr. Fuchs to be a super intelligent, knowledgeable surgeon who had thoroughly reviewed my long history of knee issues and was fully prepared to address my issues. After he explained my options and what to expect if I went ahead with surgery, I quickly decided he was the guy & to go ahead with my surgery. I selected April Fools Day 2025 as my surgery date. Day of check-in - the surgery staff was incredible. Everyone was nice, humorous, supportive. The anesthesiologist (sorry I didn't catch his name) gave me the best rundown on what to expect that I've ever had. The nurses and attendants were fantastic, and Dr. Fuchs was super attentive and thorough. I woke up hours later thinking I'd just been out a few minutes. No pain - the drugs were doing their job. I'm not gonna lie - knee surgery is no joke. It feels fine right after - because you're on drugs 🙂 but after the drugs wear off... it's uncomfortable. I'm a wimp - so if I can stand it, so can you. The surprising thing is that your knee doesn't work at first- at all. All the muscles are wrecked... and you have to work for weeks to get them back. Here's the secret motivator though - if you do the work, it can come back fast. Use the Continuous Passive Movement (CPM) machine that Dr. Fuchs prescribes for range of motion - it makes a huge difference. The ice machine doesn't work that well BUT buy the flexible gel ice wraps you can find on Amazon - they are awesome. Probably the biggest hint I can give is to buy a good percussion massager and use it while using the CPM machine to relax the muscles and ease the pain. Then use it anytime you have pain. It's one of the best things I've ever bought & I still use it daily. I'm now nearly 3 months after the surgery, and my knee is already way more functional than before the surgery. I am walking without a limp - and way further than I could before surgery. I'm going up/down stairs without leaning on the rail. I have a long-ish scar, but the cut was so accurate it is really thin, not raised at all and fading daily. I'm going to the gym, working out, feeling great. I still have some aches & pains at times but it's better every day. I feel like I could ski carefully already, so when December comes, I'm sure I'll be ready - thanks to Dr. Fuchs and his team.

I’m an 81 year old female and I just had my six week post op with Dr. Fuchs. But let me start at the beginning. I had a total left knee replacement in early May 2025. I explicitly followed Dr. Fuchs’ comprehensive SwiftPath methodology from pre-op through post-op. I only used ibuprofen and Tylenol as necessary…no nausea meds and no oxy. I used a CPM machine 3 times a day for the first week and a half post surgery and credit it plus an ice machine for much of my rapid progress. I had PT sessions twice weekly post surgery and did multiple exercises on my own every day post surgery. Results post surgery: I used a walker for a week post surgery and then jettisoned a cane by the end of week 2. I was driving a car by week 2. I was able to pedal fully around on the stationary bike (both ways) by week 2. I reached total flex/reflex targets (actually got to 0 - 130) by week 4. I now have very minimal swelling and am totally mobile. My deepest thanks to Dr. Fuchs for listening to me, answering all of my questions and giving me a clear path for total recovery. He truly is an expert in his field! Five stars (*) are not enough! I also want to thank Dr. Fuchs’ team and the PT staff at Lake Washington Physical Therapy for their help and competence in helping me on this journey.

Had a meniscus issue where my knee locked up and extreme pain when I moved it the wrong way. Ten years prior had meniscus surgery on other knee so I knew the drill. Searched my providers list and doctors and found Dr. Fuchs at ProOrtho. So glad I did! Dr. Fuchs is an expert in his field and has the credentials to back it up. He assessed my issue right away and got me into my MRI a day later. MRI confirmed his initial diagnosis. Had surgery shortly after, everything went great w/ no pain! Seamless, friendly service from a dedicated team of professionals and helpful reassurances from the pre-op nurses (Lisa, Mandeep, Barb, Damon and Mary), great anesthesiologist (Dr. June Lee) and Dr. Fuchs! Dr. Fuchs has a great, relaxed, confident way about him that puts you at ease from office consultations to pre-op pep talk. Surgery went amazing and now on my way to recovery! Thx Dr Fuchs, his assistant Trisha and your incredible team for your great service. If you’re reading this and wading thru the sea of providers and unsure who to pick like I was, I hope you find this review helpful. Also, one last thing, all of the ProOrtho services (office visits, MRI and surgery) are under one roof, which is super convenient! Thx again all!

Dr. Fuchs was great from the start. He took the time to explain my injury and helped me understand exactly what happened to my knee. He walked me through my options, broke down the severity of each injury, and clarified what required surgery and what didn’t. I had all the knowledge and information I needed to make an informed decision, and he stayed available to guide me and answer any questions throughout the process. My procedure went well, and I’m now on the road to recovery. I’m truly grateful to have him and his team as my partners and caretakers, and I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for a caring surgeon in his field.

Recently had meniscus surgery with Robin Fuchs at Proliance in Kirkland Washington. It is now one week later and I am pretty much good as new. Everything went really easy Peezy. No pain. Biggest discomfort was the.Ace bandage. Robin has done two other surgeries for me, full knee replacement and rotator cuff. Both were much more involved, but I’ve had wonderful results with those also. It’s been 14 years since my knee was done
